Marci Henry has a professional teaching license as well as a master's degree in reading. In addition, she is an Orton-Gillingham practitioner certified at the associate level. She has worked for more than 20 years as a classroom teacher, tutor, and reading specialist. Marci is dedicated to helping students become confident, capable readers and writers. Over the years, she has guided learners of all ages through research-based, individualized instruction that builds both skills and self-assurance. 

With a passion for literacy and a proven record of success, Marci creates a supportive learning environment where students thrive. She takes time to understand each student’s unique learning style and interests, designing lessons that build both skill and confidence. Many of her students who once felt frustrated by reading look forward to their sessions and take pride in their progress. 

Marci lives in a 200-year-old farmhouse in Connecticut with her husband and Goldendoodle pups, Bentley and Newton. You'll often find her painting something old, baking something cozy, or reading something irresistible.
